Pizzeria e trattoria da ISA is a very authentic Italian style pizza place in Nakameguro. Their pizza is delicious. They make it fresh to order and we enjoyed both the margherita (their most popular pizza) for 1650yen and the 4 Formaggi (quatro cheese pizza) for 2350yen. This place is famous amongst foodies in Japan because the owner, Hisanori Yamamoto, has won the world pizza championship in Naples Italy for 3 consecutive years in a row — Yamamoto was the first-ever to win this championship 3 times in a row.
The restaurant is constantly crowded. We got there right when the restaurant opened at 5:30pm and we barely got one of the last few walk-in seats. Even though it wasn’t necessarily a comfortable and relaxing dinner, we enjoyed the quality and style of Yamamoto’s pizza. If you are ever in Nakameguro, definitely make a reservation and give it a try.

how does it compare to pizzeria mozza? btw, i just made a reservation there for my dad’s bday :)
It’s a different type of pizza because this is not gourmet pizza. It’s authentic Italian pizza (Naples, Italy style). You would love this place though, although we have recently found a place we love even more so will be posting that in the next coming weeks! — Please tell your dad happy birthday for us :)
* Kudos for the nice terrasse on the sidewalk that reminds me Europe a lot :)
* I can see on that pic that Italian waiter who keeps talking to me in Italian each time, probably confusing with another regular customer.
* There’s another waiter, a Japanese young guy, who learnt some French and keeps harassing me and asking weird things.

What’s your favourite pizza in tokyo??
As of today, I would say Frey’s Famous Pizza (which i’m planning to do a post on in the near future). I love their Bianca pizza!
