I love Korean food but I haven’t found THE place to go for it in Tokyo yet so if any of you have recommendations, please let me know! Anyhow, I found a decent sundubu (Korean Tofu) place. It’s in a slightly inconvenient location but the closest train stations are Jiyugaoka or Kuhonbutsu. This place has multiple kinds of sundubu jjigae and comes with all you can eat side dishes, stone cooked rice, and egg for 2000yen. (It’s 1500yen during lunch). Come here when you have sundubu cravings!

Come to Bake Shop for Sunday Brunch, they have a tasty breakfast selection with lots of seating both indoors and out. This place has a relaxing atmosphere and was fillied with young families and friends who were enjoying their weekend outings together. I had the huevos rancheros, the one you see at the very top for 1260yen. The scrambled egg plate was very well seasoned and cost 950yen and the quiche chicken plate was 1050yen. All in all, a nice brunch :) This place is on the 4th floor so it’s hard to see it but check it out if you’re craving some good breakfast/brunch.

I never thought steamed bread could be so delicious until I tried Yakumo Mushipan. They specialize in steamed bread and doughnuts and have an adorable storefront. I never thought of having steamed bread as a treat, but they were so tasty looking that even though we bought these “to go”, we ended up eating them at the store. There’s only 4 seats inside and a table outside, but if you eat there they give you free hoji-cha to go with your snack – which makes it worth eating it there because they warm your steam bread before you eat it too! If you get a chance to check this place out, be sure to stop by the beautiful Komazawa Park nearby and have a picnic there too :)

Found a good coffee shop. “On the corner” is literally on the corner of a quieter part of Shibuya. Unlike the scramble cross-walk which is constantly filled with people, this is located in a quiet place where hipsters and young adults come to sip on good coffee, chit chat, and get some work done on their laptops. Their coffee is great and they have free wifi as well so it’s a nice spot to hang out. I don’t know why but the vibe of this place really reminds me of Portland Oregon, a city that I love.

PS: I’ll have to try their food and do a post on it in the near future

Mi Corazon is a Mexican joint tucked away in a quiet area a short walk from Nakameguro station. They are famous for their burgers and the “Mi Corazon Burger” (1500yen) was delicious. It has avocado, cheese, salsa, and chilibeans and it’s really tasty. We almost thought it might be better than Blacows but if you just taste the patty on it’s own, the 100% wagyu beef from Blacows is unbeatable… However, if you’re hungry for a burger with a mexican twist, definitely check out this place. Unfortunately their french fries were just OK but their fajitas were tasty.
