Are you lacking some veggies? Then come here! This place is in the middle of Ebisu and Daikanyama and you can enjoy lots of different types of seasonal vegetables, herb teas, and more. As you can imagine, this place is very popular amongst women.

Pictured above are the pizza lunch set for 1100yen (the one that looks like a huge pita with salad on top with herb chicken) as well as the shrimp avocado salad pasta lunch for 1100yen. They both come with a small side soup and a drink of your choice so we chose the herb tea out of 7 different selections: Refresh, relax, detox, beauty, diet, recover, hang over, balance. They also have organic coffee, lychee tea, and darjeeling to choose from. Everything was delicious and it was hard to choose what we wanted to eat as everything looked good. Even though it’s just salad, it was filling as well.

PS: I know, funny restaurant name right? heh

Pariya is a nice delicatessen in Kita-Aoyama/omotesando. If you’re feeling like you need a well-balanced meal with veggies and healthy options, this is a great choice. They have a wide variety of options to choose from + it includes miso soup and any drink from their self-service drink bar section which has all sorts of options (such as Hot/Cold coffee, tea, soda, etc.). And guess what? It’s also all you can drink which is quite rare in Japan.

I had such a hard time deciding on my main dish and salad options since everything looked so good. I got “this week’s rice” so my combo came out to 1050yen and I have to say everything was pretty good. The portions are a little small but I noticed that you can get more rice if you’re still hungry so you could do that or add another dish for 300yen more. They change their menu every week so you won’t get tired coming back here either (check their websites for the weekly menu).

This cafe is located in a nice area so you can enjoy some shopping afterwards too. In fact, the 2nd floor of this cafe is also a store.

Vegetables in Japan are so good, you can really tell that the farmers here have pride and put their love into their products. We fell in love with this place because 1) they use fresh vegetables from local farmers in Japan, 2) they are totally affordable despite the high quality of their organic vegetables, and 3) it turns out they are owned by Mos Dining which also owns mos burgers.

Surprisingly, they even have a weekday lunch special that starts from 880yen. Everything we had was fresh and good, they didn’t even bother us when we stayed there for more than 3 hours, and there was lots of moms with baby carts there so it must be a very easy going place :) Even though this restaurant is located in the busy Shibuya area, it’s actually less crowded than the scramble cross walk so if you are a little intimidated by the crowds in Shibuya, this might be a good alternative for you!

{  Brown Rice Cafe  }

Brown Rice Cafe
Brown Rice Cafe

Brown Rice Cafe serves basic vegetables that somehow taste so good. There is no fancy presentation or elaborate cooking technique. They just serve you normal veggies but they draw out the strong natural flavor of the organic vegetables and it tastes so sweet and fresh. You can really tell this cafe puts a lot of effort into choosing the best seasonal ingredients from local farmers. I would say this is a dream cafe for anyone who believes in sustainable and local supplies.

Their menu doesn’t really have proteins, but the dishes are so filling that you almost forget you’re only eating vegetables. We love their “specials” that go for 2100yen. Aside from your meal, it includes a small dessert and drink. I really wish more places like this existed because it not only tastes good, but also happens to be good for your body and for the environment.
