High Tea at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Tokyo’s Oriental Lounge is definitely a special experience and I highly recommend it for a special occasion. Since the lounge is located on the 38th floor, you get an amazing view of Tokyo if it’s a clear day (it was unfortunately raining on the day we went so the view was not that great.)

The High Tea is around 5000yen per person and the pastries, desserts and teas are all exquisite. The best part is the teas and scones are all you can drink/eat so if you’re still hungry, get more! Eat the scone while it’s warm :)

If you are looking for a nice date spot or want to splurge a little and treat yourself, I highly recommend this place.

  3. Hello. Are reservations necessary? If so, do they have English-speaking staff or should I have my concierge call? I was going to do a tea afternoon at one of the department stores, but that view is very tempting!

    • It’s highly recommended that you make reservations ahead of time, especially if you want to sit by the window seats for the view. I am not sure if there’s English-speaking staff but since it’s a hotel, there’s a good chance there will be? Enjoy!
