If you are looking for an organic cafe with healthy ingredients, check out Daylesfod Organics located in Omotesando. This pretty cafe is quite spacious for Japan and it’s also 2 stories tall. The lighting is really nice and I saw many people just chit chatting and taking their sweet time. There’s also a small shopping area in the front where you can buy jam, bread, and more.

Pictured above is the “Selection of 3 Salads” with soup & bread (1400yen). The 3 salads I chose are the ‘Potatoes, green breans and feta cheese salad’, ‘chicken caesar salad’, and ‘wild rice, apricot and pistachio’ which were all good. The soup of the day was a gaspacho and it was perfect on this hot day. The Daylesford Burger is 1500yen and the Freshly baked Quiche is 1200yen. This cafe also has a vegetarian set menu for those of you who are vegetarian which is nice since there aren’t that many vegetarian places in Japan.

The portions are not too large so if you are hungry this place may not be the right choice but the food is seasoned well, uses organic ingredients and tastes good. I recommend this place for couples, families, and friends who want to take it slow and relax over a nice meal.

One of LA’s popular cafes opened a store in Tokyo on April 24th, 2013. With it’s chic location in Daikanyama and its very spacious venue, I have a feeling that this cafe will do well. They have a great terrace seating and also allow guests to bring their dogs with them to dine (only for the terrace seats). Urth caffe is famous for their breakfast, organic coffees (especially the lattes), salads and more. We decided to order some of our favorite dishes: a full-size ‘Urth Salad’ (1360yen), Chicken Curry Sandwich (1600yen), and a large Green Tea latte (600yen). Although it feels a bit pricey, the food was the same sized portions as the US and it was yummy just as I remembered it.

I’m not a huge fan of the wall decor but the cafe was filled with beautiful orchids from famous celebrities to congratulate their recent opening. Seems like pro golfer Shigeki Maruyama is the mastermind who decided to bring this cafe to Japan. He loved it so much that he decided to bring it to Tokyo. If you are looking for a good breakfast or an American-style meal, definitely stop by Daikanyama.

Vegetables in Japan are so good, you can really tell that the farmers here have pride and put their love into their products. We fell in love with this place because 1) they use fresh vegetables from local farmers in Japan, 2) they are totally affordable despite the high quality of their organic vegetables, and 3) it turns out they are owned by Mos Dining which also owns mos burgers.

Surprisingly, they even have a weekday lunch special that starts from 880yen. Everything we had was fresh and good, they didn’t even bother us when we stayed there for more than 3 hours, and there was lots of moms with baby carts there so it must be a very easy going place :) Even though this restaurant is located in the busy Shibuya area, it’s actually less crowded than the scramble cross walk so if you are a little intimidated by the crowds in Shibuya, this might be a good alternative for you!

Found a nice organic cafe right by Gakugeidaigaku station. Their food is good, ambiance is nice, and for the price I can definitely picture myself coming here often. They have a daily special that includes a salad with 15 different types of veggies, a main dish (changes daily), seasonal soup, brown rice or bread, and a small drink all for just 1150yen. Their fluffy omurice with lots of veggies marinated in tomato sauce also includes a salad and small drink for 1050yen. Their organic muffin lunch set with salad is 950yen. Everything I’ve had so far has been good and I especially enjoyed their rosemary black pepper organic muffin.

They also serve desserts as well as pastries to take home. Come check out this cafe if you are ever in this area.
