Tokyo Eats Guide Book

The Tokyo Eats Guide is the Ultimate Guide for Foodies. It is filled with only my favorite places and eats in Tokyo and will save you countless hours you would typically spend researching and organizing your visit. I’ve done the hard work for you and provided recommendations on what to do and most importantly, in this city filled with thousands of restaurants, where to eat! Whether this is your first time traveling to Tokyo or your fifth time, this book has something for everyone.

Designed, photographed and written by me, this 60-page book covers some of the most popular neighborhoods like Ginza, Shibuya, Harajuku, Omotesando, Meijijingumae, Daikanyama, Ebisu, Roppongi, Nakameguro, Gakugeidaigaku, Jiyugaoka, Kichijoji, Tokyo Station, Marunouchi and more. It contains my personal recommendations for each neighborhood such as what to do, where to go, where to shop and where to eat. I’ve included general dining tips as well as a section of exclusive content called “My Secret Spots” which I’ve never shared on my blog. Places I like so much I’ve purposely kept them secret – until now! It’s the ultimate Tokyo Eats insider guide to Tokyo with an emphasis on food… So if you’re a fan of my blog, this guide is for you!

Happy Halloween!

I recently went back to Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Disney Sea and they were both filled with Halloween spirit. It was my first time going up to the observation deck and it really was an impressive view – I highly recommend it. Disney Sea was just amazing as always but I gotta say we might have had the most successful and fun trip this time around ;)

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween.

Kamogawa/鴨川 near Sanjo/三条 and Shijo/四条.
This area is THE hang out place in Kyoto. So many shops, cafes and places to dine on Sanjo and Shijo streets near and around Kamogawa.

Eikando Temple/永観堂
Absolutely zen and beautiful. A must see especially during foliage season.

Pictured above are some of the places I visited during my trip to Kyoto and absolutely LOVED. Since I’ve already been to many of the main stream temples and popular places in Kyoto, I am finally getting to visit some of the less known and less traveled places. We were fortunate to have our friend drive us around everywhere so it was easy getting around to all of these places. It’s always a treat to travel with locals who know the area well :) We totally want to come back during the fall foliage season in November if we can. Kyoto is definitely one of our favorite places in Japan outside of Tokyo♡

2013 Summer in Japan has been one of the hottest summers ever. Shimanto, Kouchi has had a record breaking 41C heat + an unprecedented 4 consecutive days of 40C weather. Tokyo has been miserably hot as well but it seems to have finally calming down a bit. Here’s a glimpse of my summer fun. Hope everyone had a nice summer :)

Green Smoothie Recipe

Green smoothies are becoming popular here in Japan and I thought I’d try making one after researching for some recipes online. I might be late in the game but my first green smoothie was a lot easier to drink than I thought and loved it! Thought I’d share this beginner friendly Green Smoothie with you~

– Banana — 1
– Apple — 1/2
– Kiwi — 1
– Komatsuna (or Spinach)
– Water — 100cc

Note: If you don’t like apple skin, peel it first and then put it in. If you do include the apple skin, make sure you wash it well so the wax comes off.
